More Spider Thingies

Slowly finishing up Spencer Nero for Paragon....This panel hopefully makes more sense in the context of the story. Recently I have started inking with a proper brush like a grown up surprising myself how well it's been going.

NERO-VISION!

Part of a panel coloured for fun with a limited palette to reflect Nero's pulp origins.

TV21 Study

Study of a small panel from an episode of Thunderbirds from the classic British comic TV21, the original was by the legendary Frank Bellamy. Was interested to see if I could make such a small panel work retaining the starkness and simplicity without slavishly copying the original.

Back in the Saddle

Back to drawing in ernest with some more from the Spencer Nero tale I'm doing for Paragon comic. Might need to redo the ghostly figure as looking at it now he looks a little flat not sure he doesn't look like he is looking up rather than floating around.
Spending my spare time in January working through the list of bits I owe people then it'll be on with something new and hopefully a lot more drawing this year.

Melkur

From "The Keeper of Trakken" more hastily doodled old school Dr Who

Total Fear

My take on some of Kurt Siblings characters from his Total Fear comic, he's a stalwart of the Scottish independent scene knocking out a couple of anthologises a year for anyone who likes swords and sorcery, lizards and the films of Russ Meyer's should check him out.

Paragon Comic No.9

Features the debut of Spencer Nero the Civil Centurion by Greg Meldrum and Davey Candlish, my version of Nero will be in I think issue number 11, the current issue features a reprint of a tale I did last year for the Jikan special and part 3 of Rise of the Mekko Sapiens of which I drew the second episode this one is done by Louis Carter it's a little odd to see some of the characters I drew first interpreted by someone else Louis has a nice stylised take on them. Any way plug over except to say how to buy copies or download the digital copy ( only 99p!) can be found here
